Tecbond 420

Tecbond 420 is a sprayable hot melt adhesive formulated for use with Tec spray applicators.

Tecbond 420 is a general-purpose adhesive, primarily used in the manufacture of mattresses and HVAC units, but can also be used as a carpet adhesive, replacing the need for nails and tacks around stair nosing and skirting boards.

Its three-minute open time allows for the accurate positioning of substrates prior to compression, without the worry of the adhesive losing its tack.

The adhesive cools rapidly upon extrusion ensuring it doesn’t melt or burn sensitive substrates, while the increased coverage ensures there is a much stronger bond than possible with traditional bead guns.

Tecbond 420 is UL 2395 certified for bonding insulation in heating and cooling appliances. The UL Standard 2395 tests the adhesive for hot and cold temperature resistance, moisture resistance, flame spread and smoke development.
