Casttec 47

Casttec 47 is a pale amber, extended open time precast adhesive designed for environments where the ambient working temperature is high. This means it can be applied, allowed to set and then be cleanly removed at temperatures close to 40°C.

Able to bond wood, plastic, metal, and foam, Casttec 47 can be applied over a light oil, removing the need to clean surfaces before application.

Casttec 47 replaces the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, providing a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

The adhesive will begin to crystalise after around 8–10 hours and after 24 hours, the adhesive is brittle enough to allow the easy removal of the bonded inserts even at temperatures as high as 40°C. The remaining glue can then be scraped off and disposed of.

Casttec 45

Casttec 45 is a dark amber precast adhesive, designed for environments where the ambient working temperature is low. This means it can be applied, allowed to set and then be cleanly removed at temperatures as low as 10°C. Able to bond wood, plastic, metal, and foam, Casttec 45 can be applied over a light oil, removing the need to clean surfaces before application.

Casttec 45 replaces the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, providing a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

Casttec 43

Casttec 43 is an off-white, extended open time precast adhesive designed to withstand repeated pour cycles without needing to be replaced. Able to bond materials such as wood, plastic, metal, and foam, Casttec 43 it can be applied over a light oil, removing the need to clean surfaces before application.

Replacing the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, Casttec 43 provides a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

Casttec 43 will begin to crystalise after around 8–10 hours, allowing for easy removal beyond the 24–48-hour period. The adhesive also has double the open time of any other Casttec adhesive, allowing much larger and more complex inserts to be glued before being bonded to the necessary substrate.

Casttec 42

Casttec 42 is a light-brown, general-purpose precast adhesive designed to offer a strong, secure bonds between wood, plastic, metal, and foam. It can be applied over a light oil, removing the need to clean surfaces before application.

Casttec 42 replaces the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, providing a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

The adhesive will begin to crystalise after around 8–10 hours and after 24 hours, the adhesive is brittle enough to allow the easy removal of the bonded inserts. The remaining glue can then be scraped off and disposed of.

Casttec 40

Casttec 40 is an off-white, extended open time precast adhesive developed for applications utilising fiberglass, resin-coated, and epoxy coated foams. Casttec 40 is formulated to be easily removable without causing surface damage to coated bed surfaces.

Casttec 40 replaces the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, providing a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

The adhesive will begin to crystalise after around 8–10 hours and after 24 hours, the adhesive is brittle enough to allow the easy removal of the bonded inserts. The remaining glue can then be scraped off and disposed of.

Casttec 39

Casttec 39 is a clear precast adhesive designed to applied at lower temperatures, making it the ideal adhesive for heat-sensitive substrates. It can be applied over a light oil, removing the need to clean surfaces before application.

Casttec 39 replaces the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, providing a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

The adhesive will begin to crystalise after around 8–10 hours and after 24 hours, the adhesive is brittle enough to allow the easy removal of the bonded inserts. The remaining glue can then be scraped off and disposed of.

Foundrytec 708

Foundrytec 708 is an amber coloured, polyamide-based hot melt adhesive designed for bonding sand cores in the foundry industry. Foundrytec 708 has class-leading heat-resistance and allows finished cores to be oven dried at much higher temperatures.

When compared to Foundrytec 705, Foundrytec 708 has a lower viscosity for tighter joins between core pieces and a shorter open time leading to faster formation of the overall bond.

Foundrytec 601

Foundrytec 601 is a pale-amber hot melt adhesive designed for bonding sand cores in the foundry industry. Foundrytec 601 is designed to have a very fast setting speed, removing the need for storage spaces dedicated to core drying.

Alongside its rapid setting speeds, Foundrytec 601 has good heat resistance, ideal for cores that require oven drying after completion.

Foundrytec 501

Foundrytec 501 is a pale-amber hot melt adhesive designed for bonding sand cores in the foundry industry. Foundrytec 501 has a lower viscosity that other Foundrytec grades to facilitate very close bonds between cores. This reduces the risk of deformations in the finished product.

The adhesives low viscosity also prevents stringing from the applicator nozzle and improves overall adhesive output.

Foundrytec 301

Foundrytec 301 is a pale-amber hot melt adhesive designed for bonding sand and ceramic cores in the foundry industry. Foundrytec 301 prioritises bond strength between sand cores, with a slightly slower setting speed than other Foundrytec grades.

Foundrytec 301 has extremely low ash content (below 0.02%) reducing the risk of outgassing in the moulds. This formulation is ideal for steel foundries where ceramic runner systems are used.

Foundrytec 104

Foundrytec 104 is an off-white hot melt adhesive designed to bond sand core pieces together in the foundry industry. Formulated to have an extended open time, the adhesive is ideal for larger, more complex core pieces that may not be brought together quickly.

Outside of its longer open time, Foundrytec 104 has good heat resistance designed to withstand higher oven temperatures in the drying process.

Knottec 7713

Knottec 7713 is a polyamide hot melt filler specifically formulated for the fast and long-lasting repair of wood defects, including knots, scratches, splits, and large voids.

Available in 17 different colours to match any shade of wood finish, Knottec 7713 provides tough, hard-wearing repairs on indoor hardwood objects such as wooden doors, hardwood flooring, and furniture.

Requiring very little preparation and working time, Knottec 7713 is most commonly used in the hardwood flooring industry as an alternative to wood putties and epoxies.
